Vikram’s I tamil movie Initial boxoffice collection report

The new Tamil movie of Shankar has gone through a huge box office success within the first week of its release. Not only in India, has “I” (Ai) seen overseas success also as it is announced super hit movie in worldwide box office. The film released on the Bhogi Day and has achieved more than 34 crore rupees at the box office worldwide. This movie has earned approximately 25.54 crore INR in South Indian markets where its nett profit was 20.8 crores. And if we consider the overseas collections also, this movie has earned approximately 34.74 crore rupees as the Andhra Box office said.

Though this movie is considered as a huge success still it failed to gain popularity like “Linga”, as that Rajinikanth starrer movie collected 22 crore in its opening day. But there is a reason also behind it. ‘I’ has released outside South India on 15thJanuary.

At Kerala and Tamil Nadu this movie has taken with a grand opening. There were lots of hype and expectation before this Vikram starrer movie released. In Tamil Nadu only “I” has seen 7.4 Crore INR nett income on its release day (while the gross income was 9.62 crore INR).  In Kerala also this movie has made a record by collecting 2.5 crore INR on its first day.

In Andhra Pradesh “I” has gone through a huge and celebrated opening. The movie has created a new record by earning 7.52 crore INR in its opening day as a dubbed film. As per Andhra Box Office, this movie will also go very well during the coming Pongal holidays.

As per a tweet of SIMovies USA, “I” has earned 293,000 USD from 214 USA locations on its opening day. Thus it has created a beging of its successful journey in overseas also.

Though the estimated budget for this movie was nearly 150 Crore INR, but as the sources said, this movie took less than its estimated budget. As a result the nett profit from the movie gives pleasure to its producer and director.
