After the release of the Galaxy S5 Smartphone, Samsung has now announced its mid-range version, Galaxy S5 Mini. It was formally unveiled on 1st July and will be soon available for sale. It will be available as both 4G LTE 3G only models.
The S5 Mini runs on the latest android operating system, KitKat (version 4.4.2) and comes with TouchWiz user interface. The device has 4.5 inches of Super AMOLED capacitive touch screen display that supports 720 x 1280 pixels resolutions. For protection the screen has been covered by high quality Corning Gorilla Glass 3. Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini is powered by 1.5 GB RAM, and 1.4 GHz Quad-core processor. Information about SoC and GPU are yet to be released. Samsung has used features like accelerometer, gyro, compass, heart rate, proximity, fingerprint sensors etc. on the phone. The internal storage on the phone is 16GB which can be expanded up to 64GB with the help of MicroSD card. The Smartphone has a rear 8MP and front 2MP camera. Camera features include- LED flash, autofocus, 1080p@30fps video recording and much more. It also has Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and optional NFC connectivity. To run this high power device a 2100mAh Li-Ion battery has been fitted.
