Hero MotoCorp is a renowned automobile brand of the nation. All its offerings are eagerly awaited and are purchased with enthusiasm and excitement soon after the launch. However, motorbike enthusiasts will have to wait patiently for few more months before they can get their hands on the HX250R. This bike was first showcased last year and since then it has garnered immense attention. Motorcycle enthusiasts and the media eagerly await the official launch of this bike. But unfortunately, close sources have revealed that the company is not yet ready for the launch.
According to sources, the manufacturer does not want a hasty launch especially when the motorcycle is not ready. A likely launch date will be witnessed by one and all in the month of October. October is the month of festivities and is likely to fuel the sales of this already popular and highly coveted motorbike. The collaborating developer of this bike is Erik Buell racing or EBR. Design elements and overall style of this bike has been inspired by its American counterparts. This Hero bike has been priced close to Rs. 2 lakh. The initial price was set at Rs. 1.5 lakh and as the months have gone by the price has increased by approximately Rs. 50,000.
This brand has pitched its upcoming quarter litre bike against Honda’s forthcoming CBR250R. Hero’s primary competitor especially with this bike is Honda and not Bajaj or KTM. The other bike that the HX250R is intended to compete with is KTM’s RC 390. This motorbike will feature a single cylinder engine which is 249 cc and liquid cooled. The engine is equipped with fuel injection and is capable of producing power of up to 31 PS and torque of up to 26 Nm. The HX250R has two modes of power the normal being 24 PS and in the performance mode one will receive 31 PS.
