Gabbar is back recorded excellent opening at the multiplexes and other Indian screens. The Akshay Kumar, Shruti Haasan, Kareena Kapoor starrer action film Gabbar Is Back had a massive opening of 75% occupancy at the cinema halls. Even though the film is knowingly a remake of a popular South Indian film ‘Ramana’, the movie has emerged as the biggest film for the current year 2015. The film has already secured a whopping collection of Rs 13.05 crores at the box office.
Another feature highlighting the success of the film lies in the fact that the film has managed to make some decent collections even in the weekdays. Apart from that the film has managed to make Rs. 15 crores on the weekdays ofSaturday and Sunday collections.
The Akki and Shruti Haasan starring film had grossed right around its first run, about Rs 11.36 crores.
Gabbar Is Back directed by the South Indian director Kris, seemingly failed to make good money at the beginning of the week though. On Monday its collection at box office stood at Rs 6.75 crores, a steep fall from Rs 15 crores that it had made on Sunday. But the silver lining remains in the fact that it did not drop way over much as suggested by the experts. Moreover the film did manage to rake in Rs 5 crores the very next day, on Tuesday. If all the sums are totted up it shows a gain of Rs 51.16 crores after just 5 days.
It has been cited by the experts from the trade that Gabbar Is Back, has raked in Rs 4 crores on Wednesday that means a total of Rs 55.16 crores by now. They predict that if its run does not relent from here the film will ceremoniously enter into the 100 crore club.
