Biriyani tamil movie review

The much awaited movie named ‘Biriyani’ starring Karthi and Hansika Motwani released today and created lots of headlines for quite some time now. Following three back to back failures this particular movie is very important as far as Karthi is considered and is rightly an acid test for the actor. He is desperate for success and hopefully seeing the critics review the response should be good enough. The movie ‘Biriyani’ is directed by none other than Venkat Prabhu. Just from the beginning the movie created lots of positive vibes just from the trailers or posters and even the songs created lots of curiosity in the minds of audience. The movie stars Karthi and Hansika in lead role. Other important roles played by Premji, Amaren, Ramki, Mandy thakhar, Nassar, Prem, Jayaprakash, Subbu Panchu, Uma Riyaz Khan, Sangeetha Gopal.

Biriyani is a realistic movie as well as stylish. The trailers and other videos created lots of curiosity amongst the audience and movie followers. The first half of the movie is quite funny and interesting which starts off with the flashback between two buddies Karthi and Premji. Actor karthi is a sort of play boy in the movie and flaunts a new look for the movie. Actress Hansika Motwani plays the role of Journalist in the movie. Actor Karthi and his friend Premji have a peculiar habit of having biriyani after having few drinks. During one of such biriyani encounters, unexpectedly lots of thing happens and that creates lots of changes and gives rise to lots of problems. For that part you need to watch it, but has a good story line and impresses.

The sound track of the film is given by Yuvan Shankar raja and he is continuing his association with Director Venka Prabhu. This movie is very special for the composer as it was his 100th film. Apart from that poet Valli and director’s father Gangai Amaren, Niranjan bharathi and Madhan Karky were brought in for writing the lyrics. Sakthi Saravan and Praveen Srikanth handled the cinematography and editing respectively; the work was quite effectively done and impressed everyone. However the movie has been awarded the U/A certificate due to the adult theme but the movie is funny and is complete comedy thriller. In the first day the critics gave good response to the movie and specially the second half is quite interesting and lots of hope is running for both Director Venkat as well as Karthi. Actor Ajith makes a guest appearance in the movie. The movie will hit screens along with Aamir khan’s ‘Dhoom 3’ and Jiva’s ‘Endrendrum Punnagai’.
