Actress Jewel Mary has been signed in for Kamal’s ‘Utopiayile Rajavu’. She plays the role of an activist named Uma Devi. The film is a political satire. The story of the film is about a fight to establish an ideal village. The shoot began in Thodupuzha.
Interestingly the actress will be seen for the second time, acting next to South Indian actor Mammootty. The duo had worked together last time in Salim Ahmed’s ‘Pathemari’.
In this film they are cast opposite to each other sharing a complicated relationship. Jewel also revealed that it was Mammootty who had referred the actress to the director.
The beautiful actress is extremely happy with her casting. She is elated with the energetic atmosphere that gets created at the sets of the film due to the energetic actor Mammootty.
She said that it has always been a great experience to share screen space with Mammootty who is always so involved in the film making business. Mammootty according to her is a supportive co-star who will correct the mistakes of other actors generously.
Mammootty and the filmmaker Kamal had earlier worked together in 2006 for Karutha Pakshikal. The film’s cast also involves Joy Mathew, Sunil Sukhada, Nandu and Pashanam Shaji in crucial roles.
