Actor Arulnithi (Karunanidhi’s Grandson ) and Keerthana Engagement

The grandson of the DMK head M Karunanidhi got engaged last Monday. Actor Arulnithi got engaged to Keerthana, who is the daughter of a former judge at Madras High Court. The two exchanged rings in a private ring ceremony. The actor has reported that the marriage is an arranged one and it would be a June wedding. But the date hasn’t been fixed as yet. The engagement was supposed to take place earlier in 2015, but it was postponed as the actor was occupied with his films. The ceremony was a family affair and it took place at M Karunanidhi’s home that is located in Gopalapuram.

Arulnithi is looking forward to the release of his next ‘Naalu Polisum Nallairuntha Oorum’. He is currently busy with ‘DeMonte Colony’ in which he is playing the lead. This Ajay Gnanamuthu directorial is a horror flick. The newly engaged actor was asked whether this film would be the first one he would enjoy with his soon to be wife. Arulnithi says that he doesn’t want ‘DeMonte Colony’ to be the first film he will watch with Keerthana. He would instead shoot for a romantic film and then watch the love story with her after the couple is happily married. He says that ‘Naalu Polisum Nallairuntha Oorum’ and ‘DeMonte Colony’ will be reaching the theaters before he gets married.

It is reported that the ceremony had earlier been decided to be organized at a lavish hotel in the city. But there was a change of plans because of the ill health of Dayalu Ammal – the actor’s grandmother. It was hence decided that the venue would be the Gopalapuram residence. The ceremony took place at 5 pm and some of those who attended were Karunanidhi, Tamilarasu, Rajathi Ammal, Kanimozhi and the wife of M.K. Azhagiri.
