2014 Toyota Corolla Euro-Spec Details

Toyota has made its plans of launching the latest Corolla series of cars on June 6 public via a post on the social networking site – Facebook. The reason that Toyota keeps innovating and working on its Corolla model is quite simple. Launched in 1966, the model has never failed to bring a smile on the faces of both the buyers and the Toyota executives. Having said that, Corolla is gradually losing ground to other cars both in India and abroad. They offer a higher style and luxury oriented car at the same price.

Thus, Toyota had to keep a few things in mind before they ventured on this new model. Firstly they worked on the style quotient of the car. New additions and improvisations were noticed in the alloy wheels, a big air intake at the front of the car, angular headlights with LED lamps, a certain way of looking appealing, integrated with the grille, tight body lines and wrap around tail lamps.

The interiors have been revved up too. It sports a dual tone interior color. It comes packed with a three dial gauge which looks stunning. The dashboard is simple and yet elegant. A large touchscreen infotainment system has also been embedded inside the car. The seats have been redesigned for added comfort. The rear chamber is more spacious than before.

The new Corolla will get its power from the two 1.8 litre engines – the first engine generates a power of 132 bhp and is found on the L, LE and the S variants. The other one generates a power of 140 bhp and can be found in the LE Eco variant. The base ‘L’ variant will have a four speed automatic transmission or a six speed manual transmission gearbox. The engines may vary in India.
